These are some of the lovely things that people have said about Theatrical Shenanigans!

"I was so honoured to have my play chosen for this podcast's second season. I was very impressed with the audio quality, the wonderful performances, and the sound effects. My co-writer and I are so pleased with the result, and we enjoyed the insightful commentary that followed the play. This is such a wonderful podcast, I am excited to see what's in store for it in the future."
Sarah J Baker (Co-playwright of "A Wager" S02 E04)

"It was absolutely amazing to hear what Theatrical Shenanigans did with mine and my Co-writers words. The sound effects, and both actors were amazingly cast, and the hosts had good insightful banter that made the entire episode worth listening to! I’m so glad I’m now subscribed and can’t wait to listen to all the new works!"

Hadley Vogler (Co-playwright of "A Wager" S02 E04)

"What I love about Theatrical Shenanigans is you can tell that Rachel Fenny-Williams absolutely loves this work. The care that goes into editing, the attention to the questions asked to special guests, the desire to branch out and try new things and offer audiences something different. Any theatre lover or worker should add this to their list because it is truly something special!"

Cole Hunter Dzubak (Playwright of "The Paranormal Club's Seventh Annual Haunted House Sleepover" S02 E07)

"The amount of support, love, and care this group gives to emerging playwrights is nothing short of extraordinary. I have collaborated many times with Rachel Feeny-Williams and every single time has been an amazing experience."

Darrin Ingram (Playwright of "Goodnight Jimmy" - Mini Shenanigans - S02 E10)

"My play “Subway Adventures” is the newest episode of the segment mini-shenanigans. The experience I had was surreal! Playwrights have a true chance in getting produced on this podcast! Highly recommend!"

Jaxson Mackling (Playwright of "Subway Adventures" - Mini Shenanigans - S02 E04)

"Not only does Theatrical Shenanigans provide great opportunities for writers and voice actors alike, but it provides listeners to new and very entertaining content. Stories from all genres in quick, consumable pieces. This is the future of entertainment! Rachel takes great care to keep the episodes flowing and they are all executed with the utmost of care. Isn't it time you treated your earholes to something new, different, and fun?"

Jacquelyn Priskorn (Playwright of "Backyard Stonehenge Reclaimed" - Mini Shenanigans - S02 E02)

Heard this delightful play read on Theatrical Shenanigans. Friendships are the balm of the soul or can be and for those who believe in reincarnation and that souls can go on and on forever or more than one life, the beginning would be just as important as the end.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "Birthrights...and Wrongs" S2 E8)

“I had the pleasure of hearing this lovely piece read on Theatrical Shenanigans. It features two engaging characters who are as interesting for their flaws as for their strengths. The birth of a child is always fraught with heightened emotions and it is heartening to see these two strangers bond and work their way to an uplifting resolution.

Paul Donnelly (Comments on "Birthrights...and Wrongs" S2 E8)

Cole Hunter Dzubak certainly knows how to scare the daylights out of you! This play works brilliantly as audio only, which I was lucky enough to hear in a preview of season two of Theatrical Shenanigans. But don’t let that stop anyone from bringing it to the stage. A great ghost story can only benefit from the shrieks of others sitting close by. You will find your heart starts racing as the tension mounts for a group of students on a ghost hunt. Things turn scary and then! You’ll have to read it to find out!

Morey Norkin (Comments on "The Paranormal Club's Seventh Annual Haunted House Sleepover" S2 E7)

Listened to this on Theatrical Shenanigans and boy does the intensity ramp up quickly! But not only is this play spooky, it asks the question "are ghost hunters really trying to help the ghosts or just trying to exploit a tragedy for their own gain?" But also, proves something I've always known, theatre majors are sensitive to everyone's feelings...even the dead!

Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn (Comments on "The Paranomal Club's Seventh Annual Haunted House Sleepover" S2 E7)

"A Playwright couldn't be luckier than to have Theatrical Shenanigans present their work. Their Actors are fabulous, the quality of the podcast is excellent, and the thoughtful feedback extremely helpful. Rachel Feeny-Williams is a joy to work with and a total pro!"
Jack Rushton (Playwright of "Remembering Elizabeth" S2 E2)

I loved listening to the strained relationship between these two characters! A pretty engaging morality tale! Another play that I really enjoyed on the THEATRICAL SHENANIGANS podcast!
Evan Baughfman (Comments on "A Wager" S2 E4)

“A thought-provoking play about parenthood and boundaries, wonderfully produced on the THEATRICAL SHENANIGANS podcast!”
Evan Baughfman (Comments on "Cloudy with a Chance of Contempt" S2 E1)

Comments Continued

These are some more of the lovely things that people have said about Theatrical Shenanigans!

"Hello Rachel,

Thank you for including my play, Cloudy with a Chance of Contempt, in your new season. Please say thank you to the actors and all others involved as well! The performers were a delight, and you and John Busser were very kind in your discussion of the play!"

Lisa Quoresimo (Playwright of "Cloudy with a Chance of Contempt" S2 E1)

I had the great pleasure of hearing this scathing satire of the hypocrisy of the "pro-life" movement on the Theatrical Shenanigans podcast. The witty premise of the play offers a dark look at the potential repercussions of forced birth with deep anger underlying the humor. The chilling conclusion really packs a wallop."

Paul Donnelly (Comments on "Stork Patrol" S1 E4)

"So well produced and professionally created. Excellently done. Easily the best audio productions of plays I’ve heard. A wonderful and varied compilation of plays."

Jessie Salsbury (Playwright of "The Last Week" S1 E8)

STORK PATROL is a great satire by Debra A. Cole that shows the hypocrisy in some folks' "beliefs." Check this one out on the Theatrical Shenanigans podcast!

David Lipschutz (Comments on "Stork Patrol" S1 E4)

I just listened to this play wonderfully produced by the Theatrical Shenanigans podcast, for it is bought to life perfectly.

Many of Bussers works are hilarious, so this play took me by surprise, but not as much as the twist within. Father/Son relationships can sometimes be taught, especially when family life is strained or broken. The playwright tackles this sensitivity, with enough grit and passion entwined.

An excellent two hander which will get audiences discussing for some time after.

Christopher Plumridge (Comments on "A Conversation about Mom" S1 E10)

I had the happy experience of listening to ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER today on the podcast Theatrical Shenanigans out of England. This short play is a delightful two hander between an older woman and a young, nervous runner. Great dialogue and a terrific twist at the end.

Marj O'Neill-Butler (Comments on "One Foot in Front of The Other" S1 E7)

I ran competitively in high school and college, so I enjoyed all of the details here about "running culture." What I enjoyed most, however, was the dialogue and the conversation between two strangers. This piece is adapted very well on the THEATRICAL SHENANIGANS podcast!

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "One Foot in Front of The Other" S1 E7)

Heard this performed on theatrical shenanigans so brilliantly. A train ride finds Nathan learning a few things about how a passion for something can keep one going well into an age where you feel you couldn’t possibly still feel passionate anything. It’s so important to remember that everyone may have a life that wouldn’t even imagine them having and this play touches on that so well.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "One Foot in Front of The Other" S1 E7)

Heard this performed perfectly on Theatrical Shenanigans. Power plays are a huge reason for failure or success when it comes to getting certain projects up and running and "fun" was about a specific power play between a journalist and criminal that has a powerful hold on the listener from the time the recording button is pushed into action.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "Fun" from S1 E6)

I had the absolute pleasure of reading this script for a playwriting podcast. It is a scathing satire that gets right to the root of current hypocrisies at work in the country today. Debra has brought into sharp focus the double standard of morality practiced by well intentioned, misinformed, closed minded citizens.

Christopher Soucy (Comments on "Stork Patrol" from S1 E4)

A terrific script that cleverly addresses hypocrisy and those who live a privileged life. I really enjoyed hearing this adapted on the THEATRICAL SHENANIGANS podcast!

Evan Baughfman (Comments on "Stork Patrol" from S1 E4)

Heard this performed perfectly on Theatrical Shenanigans. Dark and twisted and it's just what everyone who wanted abortion made illegal deserves in return for their stupidity and selfishness to garner one more "soul" for the god they worship.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "Stork Patrol" from S1 E4)

That was pretty damn funny as well as perfectly puncturing the idea of people who can only see their family in one way. Just not the way they or the audience were expecting. Chris Plumridge hits it out of the park here as we watch the confusion grab hold of parents who, not only got their son't orientation wrong, but are now faced with the real possibility of (oh God) grandchildren. A perfect ending. (Plus, you can now listen to this play on Theatrical Shenanigans, a podcast created by Rachel Feeny-Williams. Give a listen.)

John Busser (Comments on "Coming In" from S1 E3)

No matter the sexuality, it's always a bit of uncertainty when you bring home your new partner to meet your parents. A funny twist on the old story, but done with such comic brilliance by Plumridge. Heard this read on the podcast Theatrical Shenanigans by a wonderful cast.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "Coming In" from S1 E3)

A boy and his mother can create a bond that is sometimes misunderstood and sometimes one of other-worldly force. Heard this delightful play read on Rachel's podcast and what a wonderful job the cast did.

Lee R. Lawing (Comments on "Mother Knows Best" from S1 E1)

A fun little comedy about afterlife and death and keeping traditions in the English way. Rachel Feeny-Williams does no wrong here as a Mother and girlfriend fight it out for the attention of a son/boyfriend who's a bit shaken and stirred by his Mother's interference, seeing as it comes after her funeral. With fast paced dialogue and an offbeat plot, this one is a winner. And for an added treat, listen to it on Rachel's brand new Theatrical Shenanigans Podcast like I did!

John Busser (Comments on "Mother Knows Best" from S1 E1)

"Rachel has made a wonderful start to the episodes on this podcast. They are well recorded, acted and produced audios of quality plays. The interview with a separate writer is a great idea too, allowing a fresh perspective on the scripts."

Christopher Plumridge (Playwright S1 E3 & Guest in S1 E7)

"The quality of the interviewing and dramatic content is always at the highest level. Producer/Presenter and playwright Rachel Feeny-Williams shows her interest, enthusiasm and expertise in the topic of play writing, which shines through on every programme."

Tony Vale (Playwright S1 E5)

"I was thrilled that my play, Mundy Tuesday Friday, was selected, as I always thought it would make a great audio presentation. My goodness, the acting quality was terrific. I was surprised at how well the show was done. I'll hope I get a chance to work with Rachel again. I wouldn't hesitate."

Greg Hatfield (Playwright S1 E2)

"A very fun podcast! Rachel's interviews are always interesting and the plays chosen are presented professionally. Never disappointing!!"

George Sapio (Actor S1 E2 & Guest S1 E5)
